Our first calf for the year hit the ground today, leaving a touch of excitement in the air.  A 2-year old heifer delivered a lovely-marked heifer calf.

The calf was by an Elite bull and was produced by Artificial Insemination (AI) in our September 2018 AI program.  We were happy with our AI preg-testing results, despite the effects of drought, high-fertility has been maintained in our herd.

High-fertility is one of the main traits we focus on, because high-fertility will bring more efficient beef production to the business.  We also aim to produce soft, easy-doing cattle with good weight for age, carcase and maternal traits.
